das boot / the boat

holz, wasser, pvc folie / wood, water, pvc foil

 

in einem traum zeigte sich das bootsinnere einer galeere die mit wasser gefüllt war. einem festen rhytmus folgend,

wiegten sich sklaven im takt der ruderschläge. als ausgelieferte körper in diesem wasser. die ruder waren nicht nach

aussen gerichtet sondern in das bootsinnere hinein.

diesem traum folgend entstand das boot, in einer an die eigene person angepasste grösse. statt den rudern entstand

eine andere form der bewegung, nämlich ein boot mit innen liegenden schaufelrädern.

 

the inside of a galley filled with water appeared in a dream. following a fixed rhythm, slaves swayed to the beat of the

oar strokes. extradited bodies in this water. the oars were not directed outwards, but inside the boat.

following this dream, a boat was created to in the size of a person. instead of the oars, paddle wheels were used inside.

das projekt das boot bildet den beginn einer reise des bootskörpers durch

verschiedene kunsträume und arbeitsweisen und kommt mit dem abschluss

das bootshaus zu seiner endgültigen form.

 

the project “ boat” marks the beginning of a boat’s journey through different

art spaces and ways of working and finds its final form in the boat house.
